Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the third anniversary of Pastor Jerry Miller, and First Lady Rev. Lovetta Miller beginning this evening with Family Night at 7 p.m. Rev. James Harley will be the speaker.

CLEVELAND — Lebanon Lutheran Church, 1200 Thompson Road, will celebrate homecoming Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service. The church was founded in 1893. Dr. David R. Keck, a former pastor at Lebanon, will conduct the service and deliver the message. There will be a covered dish meal following the service.

Missionary speaker at North Kannapolis Baptist
KANNAPOLIS — Chris Johnson will be guest speaker Sunday at 10:45 a.m. at North Kannapolis Baptist Church, 312 Locust St. He has been a missionary to Eastern Europe since 1992 and serves with a Baptist mission agency based in Pennsylvania helping train national pastors, establish new churches, teach English, and provide humanitarian aid. His family lived in Hungary for 18 years before returning to the Charlotte.

GRANITE QUARRY — United Methodist Women’s Sunday will be observed during the 11 a.m. service at Shiloh United Methodist Church on Sunday, led by Meg Peeler.
Rev. Laura Auten, superintendent of the WNCC Uwharrie District,will be guest speaker. Rev. Auten holds a B.A. in religion and Christian education from Pfeiffer University, and a master of divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.
Polly McCracken will present a special recognition award and UMW members of Shiloh will serve as ushers. After the service is a covered dish lunch welcoming our guest speaker Rev. EAST SPENCER — Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 940 S Long St., will observe Global Missions Sunday at the 11 a.m. service Sunday, with guest speaker Rev. Bernetta K. Wright.
Rev. Wright is a native of Kannapolis and a member of Marable Memorial AME Zion Church. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Johnson C. Smith University, and a master of divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary. She currently serves as an associate minister at Marable.
