Rowan weather: Code Yellow air quality today through Friday

The weekend looks a little complicated at this point, but things can change.

We will have Code Yellow air quality days through Friday, with both ozone and particle pollution creating the problem. Unusually sensitive people will be affected.

Today will start with patchy fog, mostly before 9 a.m. Then it will be sunny and 85, with calm wind. Tonight will be partly cloudy and 65, with patchy fog after 11 p.m.

Thursday will be sunny and 87, with calm wind becoming west at 5 mph in the afternoon. Thursday night will be mostly clear and 67.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 87 again, with light and variable wind. A 20 percent chance of showers moves in Friday night, which will be partly cloudy and 68.

Saturday has a 50 percent chance of rain, with showers before 1 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms until 5 p.m., then showers after 5. It will be partly sunny and 82.

Saturday night will have a 40 percent chance of showers before 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 67.

Sunday has a 30 percent chance of rain, with showers before 2  p.m., then storms, then showers later in the afternoon. It will be partly sunny and 82. Sunday night has a 30 percent chance of showers before 9 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 66.

Monday is Columbus Day, and it will be partly sunny and 80, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The same chance of showers is possible Monday night, It will be mostly cloudy and 65.
