Salisbury Fire Department hosting Saturday open house event

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Fire Department will host an open house Saturday. The public can meet firefighters and enjoy games and refreshments.
The open house will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 514 E. Innes St. Parking is available behind the station.
A week ago during Fire Prevention Week, firefighters participated in community activities and released a number of public-service announcements related to fire safety.
Also during the open house, people can meet Sparky the dog and learn more about fire safety.
