Leebert Ketner and Barbara Ketner of Salisbury celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 17, 2018. A family get-together and restaurant meal to honor the couple was held on Oct. 14, 2018.

The Ketners were united in marriage Oct. 17, 1953 at Organ Lutheran Church by Rev. A.W. Aderholdt. Leebert retired in 1991, after 22 years as a shift supervisor at PPG Industries. Barbara retired in 1991 as a bookkeeper at Rusher Tire Service.

The couple have three children, Nancy Martin of Salisbury; David Ketner of Spartanburg, S.C.; and Craig Ketner of Fort Mill, S.C. They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
