It is assumed the white male vote will be overwhelmingly for Congressman Ted Budd, a North Carolina white male, the very image of how the world sees Southern men.

His campaign is relying on traditional tactics to the white Southern vote. Call all Democratic candidates evil liberals. Tie them to the demonized females, Nancy Pelosi and Hilary Clinton. Make whites afraid.

The Ted Budd campaign is based on these assumptions. It is assumed rural white voters in North Carolina will not vote for a Democrat since the civil rights movement. It is assumed rural white voters will not vote for a professional woman. It is assumed rural white males value their guns more than their children’s education, safety or health care. They rely on whites’ fear of the future and a longing for the past.

Should the white vote go for Ted Budd, the above negative assumptions will be affirmed, fair or not.

However, should the white vote go for Kathy Manning, a professional female Democrat, the world will take notice of our community.

Prove you are not so easily controlled. Vote for Kathy Manning for the House of Representatives for your own self-interest.
