Lee and Virginia Gray Forbis of Aberdeen are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Brooke Forbis, to Ian David Swaim.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Charles Lee Hine and Cynthia Hine of Winston-Salem, Joseph and Evelyn Cima of Chapel Hill, and the late Sandra Huffstetler of Pinehurst. A 2011 graduate of Terry Sanford High School, she is a 2015 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science.

The future groom is the son of David and Marianna Swaim of Salisbury and the grandson of the late C L and Charlotte Hampton of Galax, Va., and the late Wilborn and Elinor Swaim of Salisbury. A 2011 graduate of Salisbury High School, he graduated in 2015 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management.

The wedding will be held April 27, 2019, in Pinehurst.
