The One Day Spring Revival at Rose Of Sharon Holiness Church, 255 Camp Road, begins today at 11 a.m.
Guest speaker will be Pastor Paschall McNair of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church of West End, NC.
First Presbyterian Church Salisbury will observe the fifth Sunday of Lent by celebrating the youth and their gifts, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the sanctuary with a traditional worship service led by Dr. Randy Kirby.
At 8:50 a.m. in Lewis Hall and again at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, the youth will lead worship and music. Several high school seniors will work together to present the sermon for the day on the theme “Fruits of the Spirit.” Also during the 11 a.m. service, the first grade youth will be welcomed to the Lord’s Table.
The Salisbury District of the AME Zion Church will have its annual Evangelistic Crusade running April 7 through 9 at Soldier’s Memorial AME Zion Church at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Dr. Grant Harrison Jr. is the host pastor for the Crusade, which carries the theme of “New Wine! Old Wineskins.”
The evangelists for the three nights will be the Rev. Dr. Heath LaVon Cheek, senior pastor and Rev. Sharon Cheek, co-pastor of Metropolitan AME Zion Church of Washington D.C.
Dr. Heath Cheek is a graduate of Hampton University and holds his master of divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary and his doctor of ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C.
He is married to the Rev. Sharon S. Cheek, a cognitive mental health therapist and certified clinical supervisor who counsels victims of domestic violence, juvenile sexual offenders, abused children with behavioral and emotional challenges, substance abuse and addiction.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State and masters of divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary, and holds a masters of science degree in pastoral counseling.
CHINA GROVE — Revival at the China Grove Church of God begins with a 6 p.m. service Sunday and continues Monday through Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.

CHINA GROVE — The Mount Zion UCC Players will be presenting “Mayberry Daze – Convicts at Large” in the fellowship hall on Sunday at 3 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken on behalf of the new construction fund.
During the 10 a.m. Sunday school hour, Mount Zion UCC children and youth will complete their journey to Jerusalem focusing on the topic of Easter morning.

First United Church of Christ will continue the journey of Lent at the 11 a.m. service with the sacrament of Holy Communion. After the service is a time of fellowship with cookies and punch.
At 5:30 p.m the Lenten journey will continue. A meal will be served with reservations required for the $6 meal. At 6 p.m. a meditation will be led by Dr. Trevor Eppehimer, academic dean at Hood Seminary. The Lenten series is based on the “Seven Deadly Social Sins” as reflected by Gandhi.

CHINA GROVE — China Grove Southside Church of God will hold one more one-day revival with Evangelist Bobby Callaham on Sunday. What started out as a successful one day revival has expanded to three Sundays. Rev. Callaham will be praying for the sick and others who have needs.

MOORESVILLE — Tomorrow during the 10:30 a.m. worship service in lieu of a customary spoken sermon, the congregation will assemble and pack 10,000 meals for undernourished world neighbors, in partnership with Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief agency.
Saint Patrick’s will provide the labor and Stop Hunger Now provides the equipment. Saint Patrick’s also purchases the supplies.
