Don’t believe the promises of health-care reform
Our “Imperial Congress,” along with Chairman Obama, is trying to further destroy America with this so-called healthcare reform. This sad piece of legislation will lead to a “single payer” system like Europe and Canada. Obama today says that you will have a choice of doctors and will be able to keep your present plan. He insists that Medicare won’t be affected.
All lies and here’s why: On page 16 of HR3200 your ability to keep your present care disappears. The funding for Medicare will be cut by $500,000,000, as further stated in the bill.
Obama in a speech given to the AFL-CIO in 2003 outlined his goal of government-run health care. He and the “Imperial Congress” will be exempt from all of this reform.
This plan will expand Medicaid, further crushing our state budget. It will also fund illegal aliens and the murder of unborn Americans via abortion. The plan will not work on a practical level or on a physcal level.
Remember the “stimulus” fiasco? Obama, Rep. Mel Watt and Sen. Kay Hagan all promised that unemployment would not rise above 8 percent. Nationwide unemployment is 9.5 percent, North Carolina is well over 10 percent and Rowan County is over 13 percent. How did the promises of Obama, Watt and Hagen work out on that? What makes you think they are being honest about health-care reform when they will be exempted from that legislation?
Call, e-mail or write Watt and Hagan and tell them no to their socialism. It is “we the the people,” and we will not be dictated to by lies!

About those gaffes
So what is the gaffe, the information about the photo, calling our sitting president “Bush” or the remarks made that fueled the controversy or the misspelling Mr. Gates middle name? On page 6D of the Aug. 2 Post, the column from the Washington Post columnist Michael Kinsley contains a photograph with the tagline the says “President Bush engages in some suds summitry with Harvard scholar Henry Lois Gate Jr. (left) and the officer who arrested him, Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. James Crowley.”
