Ester Marsh: Don’t wait till tomorrow to start exercising

I am back from my trip to the Netherlands. It was wonderful to be able to spend quality time with family and friends.
That’s what this season is all about, isn’t it?
Of course, with this season come the extra calories through food and drink. I know I had my share of it overseas.
Even through this busy season, it is so important to keep exercising. It can burn the extra calories you are eating, and it keeps your mind level dealing with all the hustle and bustle the holidays bring.
For those who are contemplating to start exercising in the new year, why wait? Start today.
This way, you are ahead of the game, and your body, mind and soul will thank you.
It is better to do something than nothing. Too many people get worried because they don’t have the “time” to exercise.
I did a lot of biking and walking when I was in the Netherlands. I even had an opportunity to do “hot yoga.” It’s yoga in a room about 104 degrees (I loved it!), but other than that, I didn’t do much. But something is better than nothing.
As soon as I got back, I started with my classes again, and I already feel so much better.
So don’t think you don’t have time or can’t start until January. Plan your weekly workout schedule ahead of time. The more you plan, the better your chance is to exercise.
The new year is right around the corner, and what better gift can you give yourself and others than the gift of health?
I hope to see many of you exercising today, because tomorrow is always one day away.
