CHINA GROVE — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing 14-year-old girl from China Grove.

Authorities said the investigation began Thursday after Lauren Haynes was reported missing from her Melbourne Drive home by her parents.

They discovered her missing about 3 a.m., sheriff’s officials said.

Lauren is a student at South Rowan High School. She did not show up for school Thursday.
