The city of Salisbury plans to establish its own tourism development authority and levy an occupancy ó or hotel ó tax (probably 3 percent) that will be added to the existing county occupancy tax of 3 percent. Supporters say the tax will aid marketing efforts. What do you think of the city’s plans?
