New Year’s Eve at the Bell Tower canceled

The city of Salisbury’s Parks and Recreation Department has canceled tonight’s New Year’s Eve celebration at the Bell Tower.
Planners announced the cancellation just before noon on Facebook, citing conditions of the park, the impending forecast and the weather’s impacts on electrical equipment.
“Please note that our attendees, vendors, and performers’ safety is a priority,” the post read. “We look forward to seeing you at next year’s New Year’s Eve at the Bell Tower.”
For those looking for other Salisbury celebrations, here’s where and when to go:
- New Sarum Brewing Co. from 4-10 p.m., 109 N. Lee St.
Journey here for this year’s New Year’s Eve Pregame Party 2018. The event features a brand new brew release and live music in the Brewhouse by Liam & the Nerdy Blues.
- The Fish Bowl from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., 127 E. Innes St.
Featuring DJ AaronS, this New Year’s Eve Celebration in The Bowl will peak with a midnight Fireball toast and “plenty of giveaways,” according to the restaurant’s Facebook.
- High Rock Boat & Ski Club from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m, 257 Boat Club Lane.
The club will host a New Year’s Eve concert with Darrell Harwood. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the band starting at 9:30 p.m. Cover is $10 and includes a midnight toast.
- DJ’s Restaurant and SkyLounge from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., 1502 W. Innes St.
Enjoy musical selections by DJ T-Nice, festive party favors and a live countdown of the ball drop at this Innes Street celebration.
- The Healing Garden from 5-6 p.m., 1024 S. Fulton St. No. 2
Nye Hartwick will lead a guided meditation session with crystal sound. Cost is a donation of juice boxes/ pouches, bottled water, canned soda or pre-packaged snacks for Prevent Child Abuse Rowan.
- Morgan Ridge Railwalk and Brewery from 5 to 9 p.m., 421 N. Lee St.
Alec & Austin will play from 5-8 p.m. during two dinner seatings: 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dinner is a four-course menu created especially for New Year’s Eve. Call for reservations at 704-754-8379.

TNT Entertainment will rock the pub for New Year’s with karaoke, cold beer and great friends.
- The Inn from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., 1012 Mooresville Road
Scarred Worship, Benjamin’s Mantle, The Last Trumpet and Forever Red will play at this Christian coffee lounge and nightclub.

This 21 and up event will feature a champagne toast at midnight, karaoke and dance music by DJ Philgood and DJ Philthy.
