FACT program, parenting workshop to be held Sunday at Soldiers Memorial AME Zion

SALISBURY — The FACT Blessing of the Children Worship Service that was to be held in December has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday.
The program will be held at Soldiers Memorial AME Zion Church, 306 N. Church St.
FACT stands for Families and Communities Together.
The workshop will be presented by May A. Love of Hood Theological Seminary and Margaret Stridick of Terrie Hess House/Prevent Child Abuse Rowan.
Parents will meet while youths will be in separate workshops with the theme “Choices and One’s Future.”
“Please encourage your members, neighbors and friends to attend this program that is filled with wonderful information,” FACT said in a news release. “Whether you are a parent or a mentor to children and youth, the information provided will be very useful as we seek to be a ‘village’ for our young people.”
The service also will recognize students who had not received report cards before he program in November.
