The Salisbury Police Department says a missing Salisbury teenager was located Thursday in Texas.

Keiry Nalleli Serrano, 15, of the 1000 block of  Whisperwood Drive, had last been seen at her home on Jan. 6.

Police said she was with her boyfriend, Eduardo Carlos Mendez, 22. The girl’s family spoke with Mendez on Jan. 7 and he said they were headed to Virginia. He was asked to return with the missing girl.

According to police, the two were tracked by cellphone. Mendez had made contact with a cousin who lives in Texas.

Authorities in Dallas were notified and Mendez was arrested.

Serrano is in the custody of a Texas area social services department until arrangements are made to return her to Salisbury.

Mendez will be charged with felonious restraint and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
