One in five families is currently caring for a loved one who has dementia. In 20 years, it will be one in two families. Dementia care can be and should be better.
Join us for a half-day workshop. Learn the Positive Approach to Dementia Care. You will understand that dementia is more than memory loss. Learn how to:
• Take care of yourself and your loved one
• Reduce their distress and yours
• Keep them engaged in relationships and activities that bring them joy
• Keep them safe
• Form a team of care partners so you’re not doing this alone
• See what they still have left, not just what they’ve lost
This personal, interactive workshop will help you learn. understand and be prepared.
Held April 6 at First United Methodist Church, 217 S Church St.
Cost is $25 per person; register at https://www.dementiawithlove.com or https://dementiawithlove.eventbrite.com or call the church office at 704-636-3121.
