Letter: Norvell Theater’s ‘Hamlet’ worth seeing

I would like to encourage everyone to go see “Hamlet” at the Norvell Theater. There are two more performances this weekend.

The young people in the play have put much time and effort into this show. The young man playing the part of Hamlet is outstanding. Kudos to Reid Leonard for his work in this one.

As the play progressed, I was drawn back many years to my English class at West Rowan High, where we had to learn many lines from “Hamlet.” Great memories.

These plays are wonderful experiences for the youth. They learn public speaking, team work, responsibility and many other things as they work together on a performance. What memories they are making.

If you attend, buy a star for a performer. For $1, you can send a message to an actor/actress encouraging them. The stars get sent to their dressing rooms before the performance. It’s a great way to encourage the performer and support the theater.

Don’t like Shakespeare? Perhaps seeing the play will make you like him more.

Spoiler alert. They don’t live happily ever after.
