Multi-million dollar project underway in Kannapolis

Affinity Living Group has announced the construction of its newest premiere assisted living community — The Landings of Cabarrus.

The community, slated for completion in late spring 2019, will offer 35 private assisted living suites and 32 secure-care beds with private and companion rooms, all new luxury accommodations, internal and external courtyards, theater with a chapel area, private dining room for family events, private nooks for visiting, large common areas and pets will be welcome. 

The Landings of Cabarrus will be secured with extra safety features like sensors and exit alarms to prevent wandering, or “exit-seeking,” behavior. “The Journey,” an ALG signature program, will provide additional care for residents with memory impairments, including special assistance with daily tasks, unique dining experiences and fun activities for people at all levels of ability.

March Power in Partnership to highlight agri-business

“Salute to Agri-business” is this month’s Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership. Linda Andrews with the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation will be the keynote speaker.

The location is moved this month and will be held at West End Plaza on March 21 at 7:15 a.m.

Andrews is the national legislative director for the Farm Bureau. In this role, she serves as an advocate for North Carolina agriculture and rural communities both locally and nationally. Prior to joining the Farm Bureau’s staff, she served as a volunteer leader in several organizations. A graduate of the UNC-Wilmington, Andrews and her family reside on their family farm in Harnett County.

Salute to Agri-business is in coordination with the chamber’s Agri-business Committee and the Rowan County Extension Office. The breakfast will feature Rowan-grown products with farm fresh eggs, Patterson Farm jams and jellies, liver mush and more.
