Remember veterans and their service
Remember on this Veteran’s Day that America is the land of the free because of the brave. Thank a vet!

End sexual abuse
After reading and learning about another little girl being killed and probably molested, the 15-year-old being gang raped and now the eight bodies being found in that house, I feel I have to appeal to the parents, especially mothers, and all people to get up and start getting a law passed to castrate all sex offenders. I feel this has been long overdue.
I’m sure most men would think twice about molesting a girl or woman and even boys. I’m also sure that it would not deter all sex offenders, but at least some.
Anyone that is against this law should go through what these victims have gone through; then they would change their minds.
Thank you to the governor for stopping the release of those hardened criminals.

Let the people vote
I find reprehensible, with the economy and job loss in this country, that elected representatives would compound people’s suffering by voting against health-care reform.
Rep. McHenry from outside Charlotte, whose district suffers from high unemployment and who has no healthcare or insurance company conglomerates headquartered in his district, would rather side on their agendas then that of the people he was elected to represent.
This is another example why such legislation should be put forth in public ballots to be decided by the people of the United States. Once politics and lobbying get involved, “We the People” lose every time.
