KANNAPOLIS ó Twin brothers who sustained gunshot wounds Monday say they were shot by an unknown black male.
Police seized drugs from the home at 2413 Isenhour St. where the shooting occurred and are continuing the investigation.
Andrew Sutton, 20, sustained a gunshot wound to his hand and his brother, Michael, was hit in the leg near his knee.
Shortly after the 1:45 p.m. incident, both were taken by Rowan EMS to CMC-NorthEast. They were treated and released.
Lt. Ken Jackson of the Kannapolis Police said the brothers said a black man entered the house they share and began yelling and then fired a pistol with the shot hitting both.
Jackson said police subsequently got a search warrant and found narcotics, both pills and marijuana on the premises.
Police also found a small caliber bullet.
Jackson declined to say if police found a pistol. “The investigation is ongoing,” he said.
He also noted that police have previously responded to calls at the residence.
