Cruise ‘n’ Barbecue scheduled for April 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran

The ninth annual Cruise ‘n’ Barbecue will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 205 St. Paul’s Church Road.
The day will feature classic cars, street rods and motorcycles, along with Port-a-Pit Chicken. Activities will be held rain or shine.
Proceeds benefit St. Paul’s Helping Hands Ministry.
Judging of the vehicles takes place between noon and 2 p.m. A special award this year is the “Rat Rod of the Cruise-in.”
Judges will award first-, second- and third-place trophies, along with Best Truck and Best Rat Rod awards.
Participants in the show will vote for Cruisers’ Choice Awards; 20 will be awarded, plus Best Bike.
The $10 Port-a-Pit dinners include a half chicken, slaw, beans, roll and dessert. Drive-through service will be available.
At 3 p.m., the car show awards will be announced, and the half-and-half and raffle drawings will take place. Door prizes will be given out throughout the afternoon.
This year, a $40 “super ticket” includes a T-shirt, one vehicle registration for the car show and two barbecue tickets. Participants can save $10 on the super ticket if registration is received by April 19.
