Teachers aren’t paid enough. Their pay is low, and a majority of it comes from taxes.

Teachers are the key to the next generation, and they’re getting children ready for the real world. However, teachers have little to no benefits.

These teachers spend half of their day in the school building, and some teachers even spend extra time to help out kids after school.

North Carolina was ranked 37th in salary for teachers. In other states, teachers make a good amount and have a better reputation.

So, which state do you think they’ll go with? Clearly the state with better pay and a higher reputation for education.

This shows that North Carolina needs to step up its game, Because if North Carolina truly cares about education, don’t you think it would make a teacher’s life easier, not harder? For example, Rowan-Salisbury Schools is trying to shut down some of its older schools to make newer ones. Chairman Josh Wagner clearly stated, “I don’t give a durn about low-performing. Don’t give me that. Because, let me tell you something, those kids are no different than your kids,”

First off, as a chairman, he might want to make sure his grammar is right. Then, it seems like he cares more about money than the future of these kids.

To me, it seems like nothing is going to get better because this state isn’t going to change.
