Before retiring Ms. Elizabeth Cook described Editor Josh Bergeron as a “go-getter.” I pictured a Mike Wallace or Sam Donaldson. Unfortunately, where the simmering stench of our school schandal is concerned, that has not been the case.

Your main coverage centered on trailers to be sold. Research how many years back and how many millions in school bonds were supposed to pay for them to be replaced with schools. Yet, we still have trailers today.

Further, you might want to investigate where the students from the trailers will be put, since 12 schools are down for potential closure. Yes, I know the numbers change, but which numbers are we to believe? Do your own investigation and believe nothing the Moody mob tells you.

Speaking  of Moody, how does she  justify her salary plus perks and allowances  as test scores have declined.

Is there no way to void her contract and replace her with a competent replacement?

What about a total recall election of the Board of Education and the people who recently renewed her contract? What was the total cost of the pleasure place, also known as the administration building? What about selling it and putting the money back into the schools? What will be the need for it after the schools close and the kids are gone? How many school closings will this thing have cost? Speaking of cost, what is the total cost of RSS on a yearly basis? Does anyone know down to the penny? The state motto is “to be rather than to seem.” Our school system’s motto seems to be “to seem rather than to be.”

Mr. editor, in dealing with a deceitful school system, ask yourself how would Wallace and Donaldson handle it, report it and print it?
