Rowan weather: Slight chance of storms

It’s going to be another hot week, and we’re still having code yellow air quality days.
Today through Wednesday will have higher levels of both ozone and particle pollution, meaning people with asthma or other lung or heart conditions may be sensitive to the air.
Today will be partly sunny and 87, with southwest wind at 7-10 mph. We’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
That same chance of showers and storms is possible before 8 p.m. It will be partly cloudy and 59, with west southwest wind around 5 mph calming overnight.
Tuesday will start with some patchy fog. Then it will be sunny and 85, with north northeast wind around 6 mph calming in the afternoon. the low will be 60, with mostly clear skies and east wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 84, with east northeast wind around 5 mph tapering off in the afternoon. The low will be 66, with partly cloudy skies.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and 90, with a low of 68 and partly cloudy skies.
Friday will be even warmer, with a high of 93 and lots of sunshine. The low will be 69.
If you have a long weekend thanks to Memorial Day, it’s going to be a hot one. Saturday will be sunny and 93, with a low of 69.
