The Post published an article on May 13 pertaining to the N.C. Transportation Museum Foundation purchasing the old SunTrust Bank building in the Park Plaza (“What are plans for former SunTrust Bank building in Spencer”)

I commented that I thought it was a good idea for the museum but a bad idea for Spencer taxpayers due to them not paying property taxes.

I have been corrected by a foundation member and would like to apologize to those I misled. The NCTM Foundation does pay property taxes on property they own.
