Salisbury will serve as the backdrop for an upcoming feature film, “The 24th,” about a historical incident set in 1917 Houston, Texas.
Filming will take place Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 28, in downtown Salisbury and other neighborhood areas (dates are subject to change).
Salisbury is excited to welcome the production company of 70+ actors, stage crews and other workers to town.
Film production in Salisbury is an economic development avenue in which we have not tapped fully. We have been lauded for our city’s dedication to historic preservation, which could lend itself to more of these projects. Commercial and film projects bring jobs and revenue to our community, which we think we all can agree is needed in Rowan County.
We invite residents and visitors to view important information on potential road closures, business closures, noise and other anticipated sounds.
