SALISBURY — Novant Health Heart & Vascular Institute held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening May 20 to celebrate its relocation into a much larger and modern space.
The medical staff at this location includes Drs. Nestor Cruz, Brian Fazia, Apur Kamdar, Telly Meadows, Kobina Wilmot and Dennis Wilson.
The heart and vascular office moved from the Kiser Medical Building at 911 Henderson St. to an office on the second floor at 401 Mocksville Ave. The new space doubles the size of the office and features a modern design. Photography on the walls depicts historical sites in Rowan County taken by local photographer and registered nurse Nancy Haines, who works at Rowan Medical Center.
“This beautiful, new medical office reflects the high level of cardiac care provided by the doctors here,” said Dari Caldwell, president of Rowan Medical Center.
Rowan Medical Center continues to be a regional leader in heart and vascular care, offering a diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization lab, stress testing area, echocardiography, a radial artery catheterization program and a cardiac rehabilitation program.
The hospital is ranked in the nation’s top 10% for heart attack care and its door-to-balloon times are 35% faster than the national average. Additionally, Rowan Medical Center is a fully accredited by Cycle IV Chest Pain Center, which means it has demonstrated expertise and commitment to the highest level of chest pain care.
