Colby Edmonds

Colby Rebecca Edmonds is the daughter of Shane and Ashley Edmonds of Salisbury. A senior at North Hills Christian School, she attended China Grove Elementary School before moving to North Hills in middle school. In the fall, she will study business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a goal of becoming a director of marketing at a Fortune 500 company.

Edmonds lettered in basketball, volleyball and cheer and also served as house leader, Junior Civitan co-president and co-captain of the basketball team.

Favorite assigned book: “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee

Defining moment in my life: The most defining moment in my life was attending my first mission trip after my freshman year of high school. Going on that trip led me to do more volunteer work in my own community as well as attend two more mission trips.

Secret to high school success: I developed successful study habits early in my high school career, managed my time wisely and worked, which led to my success.

If I had $10 million: If I had $10 million, I would create my own non-profit organization to help economically challenged high school students to achieve their life goals after high school, by either attending a 2-year college, university, or a trade school.
