Rowan weather: Serious rain coming our way

We’ll have a lower chance of showers and thunderstorms today, but then the chance goes up tonight, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and through Tuesday.
Today will have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will e partly cloudy and quite warm, with a high of 87. Winds will be southwest around 7 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, except for higher amounts in thunderstorms.
Tonight’s chance of storms and showers will be 50 percent. It will be cloudy and 68, with southwest wind around 5 mph calming in the evening. A tenth to quarter inch of rainfall is possible, again, with heavier rainfall in thunderstorms.
Friday has an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with more showers in the morning and storms in the afternoon. It will be 78, with light and variable wind shifting to the east in the afternoon. A half to three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.
Friday night’s chance of showers and storms is also 80 percent, with storms tapering off after 10 p.m. The low will be 66, with east northeast wind at 5-7 mph. Another three-quarters to an inch of rain is possible.
Saturday, graduation day, could be soggy, with an 80 percent chance of showers and a few thunderstorms. The high will be 75, with east northeast wind around 8 mph. That 80 percent chance of showers sticks around Saturday night, with a low of 64.
Sunday has a 70 percent chance of showers. It will be cloudy and 76. Then the chance of showers and thunderstorms goes back up to 80 percent Sunday night. The low will be 66.
Monday will be cloudy and 80, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be 67, with the same chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Tuesday will have a 60 percent chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 79. The chance of showers drops to 50 percent Tuesday night.
Wednesday will be partly sunny and 77, with a 30 percent chance of showers.
