Women’s Day at Shady Grove
EAST SPENCER — At Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 600 S. Long St., Sunday is Women’s Day.
Minister Felecia Ledbetter of Temple Memorial Baptist Church, High Point, will be the speaker at the 11 a.m. service.
At 3 p.m., co-pastor Dana Blue of Uncommon Church of Charlotte will speak.
Host pastor is James A. Ledbetter III.
Homecoming and revival at St. Matthew Baptist
ROCKWELL — St. Matthew Baptist Church will observe Homecoming on Sunday.
Speaking at the 11 a.m. service will be St. Matthew’s pastor, Rev. L. Alvin Patterson.
The 3 p.m. speaker will be Rev. Eric Susong of Salisbury’s Mt. Calvary Holiness Church.
Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday, Rev. Clarence Marlin, pastor of Fairvew Heights Baptist Church in Salisbury;

Women’s Day at Mt. Vernon
WOODLEAF — Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 435 Carson Road, observes Women’s Day Sunday at the 11 a.m. service on the theme of “The Grace of God Has No Boundaries.” Deborah Gaither, First Lady of Mt. Vernon will be the speaker.
The service will also include Lighting of the Christ Candle in memory of Linda Goodwine Lyerly.
Lunch will be served by the Mt. Vernon men following the service. Host pastor is Rev. Otto Gaither.
Homecoming at Erwin Temple CME
WOODLEAF — Erwin Temple CME Church, 55 Erwin Temple Church Road, hosts its annual homecoming service on Sunday. Morning worship will begin with a praise group leading with songs of praise. The pastor, Rev. Ervin L. Hannah Jr., will preach. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall at 1:30 p.m.
Afternoon worship is at 3 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. Robert N. Kelly Jr., pastor of Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church.
Usher anniversary at Third Creek AME Zion
CLEVELAND — The Usher Board of Third Creek AME Zion Church will celebrate its annual anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Zacharias Allen Sr. from Providence AME Zion Church will render the service. Dinner will be served in the Glenn G. Grayson fellowship hall at 1:30 p.m.

Lilly’s Chapel Church of God to honor pastor
PIC Lilly’s Chapel Church of God, 618 W. Thomas St., will have a pre-anniversary service for its pastor, Dr. Doris Clawson, on Sunday at 3 p.m.. Guest speaker will be Rev. John Leazer, pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Concord. Music will be rendered by the Macedonia Baptist Church choir.

Trinity Presbyterian Church celebrates its 152nd church anniversary on Sunday at 4 p.m. The theme this year is “Strengthening Our Faith,” Philippians 2:16. Rev. Alexander Porter, pastor of Bethpage United Presbyterian Church and 1.2.7. Family Worship Center in Concord, will be the guest speaker.
