SALISBURY — A man with a gun robbed a local Dollar General before the store opened early Thursday.
The manager and an employee were at the store, located at 2141 Statesville Blvd., at 8:22 a.m. when a man slipped inside. The two had just swept outside and left the door open.
The gunman headed for the office and placed his hand to his mouth, telling them to be quiet. He asked the employees to put money in a bag. As one employee was getting a bag, the man became rushed and reached into the cash register to grab more money.
The robber was wearing a black jacket with the hood pulled up, black Adidas sweat pants with a white stripe on the side, and white, low-cut tennis shoes.
No one was injured in the robbery.
