Lawther ~ Concelman Wedding

Katharine Wyatt Lawther and John Edward Concelman of Stanley, North Carolina were united in marriage June 21, 2019, at the Lake House at Blowing Rock Country Club, Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
The Reverend Sandra Possman officiated at the 6:00 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Blowing Rock Country Club. Special hosts were Mr. and Mrs. John H. Isenhour, Jr. of Blowing Rock and Salisbury, North Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Rivers Lawther, Jr. of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Ms. Linda L. Hoenselaar of Anacortes, Washington. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Francis Rivers Lawther of Wilmington, North Carolina, and the late Lieutenant Colonel and Mrs. Floyd J. Hoenselaar of Salem, Oregon.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Concelman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Borgan, the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Concelman, and Mrs. Elizabeth Concelman, all of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The bride, escorted by family friend, John H. Isenhour, Jr., was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Athena Douglas, cousin of the bride, of Salem, Oregon, served as matron of honor. Ms. Mildred Gilmore, cousin of the bride, of Burns, Oregon, served as bridesmaid. Master Marek Concelman, son of the groom, served as best man. Mr. Joseph Concelman, brother of the groom, of Durango, Colorado, served as groomsman. Miss Ada Concelman, daughter of the groom, served as honorary flower girl, and Master Hudson Foggo, of Charlotte, North Carolina, served as ring bearer. Mrs. Stephanie Hermalick, of Charlotte, was the guest book attendant.
The bride is a graduate of Salisbury High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. She is employed by Wells Fargo as an Intellectual Property Paralegal.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education, and East Carolina University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Community Health Education and Promotion. He is employed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as the Character Development/Bullying Prevention Specialist.
Following a wedding trip to Destin, Florida, the couple will make their home in Stanley.
