Rowan weather: Code Orange air quality day

The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality has issued a Code Orange air quality action day for ground-level ozone from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
People with heart or lung disease, young children and the elderly, as well as the general public, should avoid extended outdoor activity during those hours.
It is a Code Yellow day for particle pollution, as well.
Today will be sunny and 90, with northwest wind at 5-7 mph this afternoon. tonight will be partly cloudy and 67, with light west northwest wind.
Friday is predicted to be a Code Yellow air quality day for both ozone and particle pollution. It will be mostly sunny and 90, with winds from the west southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Friday night will be partly cloudy and 69, with calm wind.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 89, with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m. Winds will be light from the north northeast. The low will be 68 with partly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 89; the low will be 69, with partly cloudy skies.
Monday will warm up to 92 with mostly sunny skies. The low will be 71, with clouds.
Tuesday will be partly sunny and 92, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The same chance of rain is possible Tuesday night, with a low of 72 and mostly cloudy skies.
Wednesday will be partly sunny and 92 again, with another 30 percent chance of showers and storms.
