The welcome home parade for the Rowan Little League Softball team’s World Series championship will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday on North Main Street.

The lineup will depart the 500 block of North Main Street, turn right onto West Innes Street, turn left on Statesville Boulevard, turn left onto Hurley School Road and head to to the Salisbury Community Park.    

The championship team members will be riding in classic convertible cars, historic trolleys and modern vehicles in the parade. The public is invited to cheer the team along the route. 

A congratulatory rally will be held at the Salisbury Community Park ballfields at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to the rally. 

The rally will include comments by Rowan County Commissioner Chair Greg Edds and officials from other local governments and Rowan-Salisbury Schools.
