Although the National Weather Service says we have just a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today, it’s likely we’ll have another round of strong to severe storms, as we did Wednesday.

This afternoon may include storms with frequent lightning, locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Severe storms will have damaging winds and up to quarter-size hail. Street flooding is a possibility, as well as flooding in low-lying areas.

Today will be mostly sunny and 90, with southwest wind at 3-6 mph.

The chance of showers and storms tonight will be 50 percent, with mostly showers after 5 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy ad 71, with south southwest wind at 3-6 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Friday will have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Patchy fog is likely before 10 a.m. It will be partly sunny with a high of 89 and southwest wind at 3-7 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher totals in thunderstorms.

Friday night’s chance of showers and storms will be 80 percent, with heavy rainfall expected. The low will be 69, with west northwest wind around 5 mph calming in the evening. Three-quarters to an inch of rain is possible.

Saturday will have a 60 percent chance of showers, with a few thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 78, with northeast wind at 3-7 mph. Saturday night will have a 50 percent chance of showers. It will be mostly cloudy and 65.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy and 78, with a 30 percent chance of showers. The same chance of rain is possible Sunday night, with a low of 64.

Monday will be mostly cloudy and 80, again with a 30 percent chance of showers throughout the day. The low will be 66.
