It shouldn’t be this easy. Leonard Pitts’ weekly columns give more ammo to exposing the hypocrisy of the left than common sense allows. 

He stated in last week’s column that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott defended new state laws allowing easier carry of guns into schools and houses of worship. What he “accidentally” failed to mention is that “gun-free zones” such as schools and churches are where the vast majority of mass shootings take place and that these gun carriers are well-trained good guys defending innocent lives. But that’s what I expect from Pitts.

Billionaires like George Soros and Mike Bloomberg have been bankrolling the destruction of our Constitution for years. It’s the camel entering the tent 1 inch at a time. It’s about worldwide power for these powerful men and has nothing to do with taking away your rabbit shotgun and squirrel rifle.

Twice in America’s history have powerful forces tried to destroy this country — against the British in the 18th century, the Revolutionary War, and between ourselves in the Civil War. 

What will we call the inevitable war that’s quickly approaching? I predict it will either arise from President Donald Trump’s re-election or his replacement of a liberal Supreme Court justice. Background checks and red-flag laws are just smoke and mirrors from the left; Democrats peddling that couldn’t sell the lie to an escapee of Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s unicorn ranch. They want ’em all. 

When Nazi Germany prepared to attack the U.K., the British had no weapons for defense. The NRA rallied its members, who sent thousands of their personal weapons to English citizens to defend their homeland.
