Guns, tools taken in China Grove

More than $3,300 worth of guns, tools and other items were taken in a break-in at a China Grove home.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, thieves hit the home of William Bernard Rodgers, 530 Arant Road, between Nov. 19 and 21.
Items taken included a Binelli 20-gauge shotgun, a Mossburg shotgun and a Ruger .22-caliber rifle.

– Sunshine Manufacturing, 850 Gold Hill Ave., reported the theft of $2,300 worth of wire from the business.
– East Rowan High School reported students fighting in class. Nicole Maureen Callahan, 17, and Travis Warner, 17, were charged with an affray.
– Tanner Dayn Stirewalt, 125 Dockside Drive, reported the theft of two shotguns.
– Robert Carroll Burris, 1555 Rainey Road, reported the theft of a knife collection, valued at $1,000, from his home.
– Prime Development reported a gate was forced open at a Kannapolis business and a Miller 40-G welder was taken.
– John R. Wain, 195 Ervin Woods Drive, reported the theft of a 2004 Chevrolet 3500 diesel from Wayne Brothers Inc.
