An early morning Nov. 5 call from a concerned citizen in Harrisburg led the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office to arrest four men in connection with about 40 vehicle breaking and enterings in the past four or five months. A total of 130 charges of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle were given.
The arrest was made Nov. 5 after officers responded to a report of suspicious activity around the Bradford Park subdivision in Harrisburg and noticed a vehicle leaving the area.
Further information led officers to think the four arrested were involved in additional vehicle breaking and enterings in Concord, and charges were made for those as well.
Those arrested, and charges, are:
– Barry Lee Price, II, age 20, of Harrisburg: 38 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle; five counts of felony larceny; 29 counts of misdemeanor larceny; and possession of a malt beverage under age.
– Darrell Lewis Carson, age 19, of Harrisburg: 41 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, five counts of felony larceny, 33 counts of misdemeanor larceny, and one count of possession of a malt beverage under age.
– Hector Emilio Garcia, no age listed, of Concord: 11 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle; eight counts of misdemeanor larceny; and possession of a malt beverage under age.
– Lamar Reshard Carson, age 16, of Harrisburg: 40 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle; five counts of felony larceny; 30 counts of misdemeanor larceny; and one count of possession of a malt beverage under age.
Price and both Carsons were each given $250,500 secured bonds, and Garcia was given a $100,500 secured bond.
The investigation is ongoing as officers think the four are connected to similar incidents in and around Harrisburg.
