Numerous break-ins keep cops busy

Busy thieves racked up an assortment of items on the past few days ó everything from a 1942 Ford tractor to a dog.
Rowan County Sheriff’s officers are investigating several reported break-ins and thefts over the weekend.
Devonna Scercy, 2207 Triplett Road, Mount Ulla, reported the theft of a 1942 gray and red Ford tractor, Model 851.
The tractor was taken from 12973 Stokes Ferry Road between Sept. 24 and Oct. 24.
The Sheriff’s Office is also investigating the theft of a PSE/G force hunting bow, valued at $1,000, from a vehicle owned by Brandon Charles Wilhelm, 1035 Daisy Lane, Kannapolis.
In addition to the bow, Wilhelm reported $4,000 was taken from the vehicle.
Reports of incidents or arrests on Oct. 23:
– Daniel Wayne Upright, 3485 Lowerstone Church Road, Rockwell reported that someone stole his German shepherd between Oct. 3 and Oct. 23.
– A U-Haul trailer from U-Haul of Charlotte, which had been stolen from 8525 U.S. 52, Rockwell, on Oct. 21 was recovered on Oct. 23 at 14155 U.S. 52.
– David Wayne Swink, 150 McField Drive, China Grove, reported the theft of a Mitsubishi big screen TV, valued at $2,800 from his residence.
The break in and theft occurred between 5:45 p.m. and 9:30 on Oct. 23.
– Amy Marie Love, was charged with felony financial card transaction.
– Jamie Lynn Poteat, was charged with felony trafficking heroin.
– Charles Dewitt Bush, charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance.
– Felicia Jeannette Ellis, was charged with maintaining dwelling for controlled substance.
– George Everett Gadson, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
– Larry Mitchell Donahue of 315 Happy Lake Road, Rockwell, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor related to an underage drinking incident.
– Johnathan Paul Newsome, 20, was charged with statutory rape.
Reports of incidents and arrests on Oct. 24:
– Woodleaf BP, 3335 N.C. 801, reported a break in on Oct. 24, between 2:15 a.m. and 5:40 a.m.
Thieves broke the glass door and took $409 worth of tobacco products.
– Brian Keith Dunlap reported the theft of his guitar from his vehicle parked at 160 Maria Lane, Woodleaf.
– Pop’s Country Store, 5285 U.S. 601, reported a break in between 3:35 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 25.
Thieves broke a glass in the front door and took cigars and $40 in cash.
Reports of incidents and arrests on Oct. 25:
– David Christopher White, was charged with breaking and entering.
– Ashly Cole Jordan, 16, charged with sexual battery.
– Brittany Noel Mesimer was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
