The West Rowan Falcons won the regular season championship as well as the YFL Super Bowl by defeating the Carson Cougars 6-0.
The Falcons, sponsored by Half Time Grill, finished with a record of 8-0. The team members that played as fifth- and sixth-graders went a combined 16-0 with two YFL Super Bowl titles.
Jalen Sanders received a handoff from Dylan Phillips and scored on a 27-yard run with two minutes left to secure the win in this year’s Super Bowl. Shane Barber, Simeon Caldwell and Devon Morrison blocked well on the touchdown.
Keldrick Wilson, Dearius Phillips and Noah Williams led a strong defensive unit. J.T. Sanders, assisted by Graham Miller and Jawan Houston, delivered a tone-setting hit on the opening kickoff.
Mike McCullough (head coach), Stewart Bath, Danny Phillips, Travis Allen, Dustin Waller and Robert Flanagan coached the Falcons.
