A Kannapolis man was charged Wednesday with more than a dozen counts of statutory rape of a teenage girl.
Spencer Richard Woodmansee, 22, of 7850 Longbriar Drive, was charged with 14 counts of statutory rape/sex offense of a child.
According to a warrant, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Woodmansee, who was said to be at least six years older than the victim at the time of the incidents. The incidents began July 4, 2008, and ended August 20, 2009.
Woodmansee was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond. He has since been released from the jail.
