Free energy conservation workshop

Cooperative Extension will host an Energy Conservation Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6-8 p.m. The workshop, “Household Energy Saving Tips for Homeowners”, will be held at the Agricultural Center at 2727 Old Concord Road.
The goal of this workshop will be to inform and provide consumers tips on how to conserve energy and lower energy bills. This workshop will be an opportunity to learn simple and inexpensive ways to go about weatherizing your home and possibly cut energy bills by as much as 20-30 percent.
Free energy audits and retrofitting will be available to those who qualify. Toi Degree will be the instructor. There is no charge, but space is limited so pre-registration is required. Pre-register by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 by calling 704-216-8970.
