Candidates for Salisbury City Council will field questions Wednesday at a forum sponsored by the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, Catawba College and the Salisbury Post.
The forum will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hedrick Little Theatre on the Catawba campus.
Dr. Michael Bitzer, Catawba political science professor, will moderate the forum, using questions submitted by Post readers and others.
The forum will be recorded and available for viewing on Channel 16. Memories 1280WSAT will also broadcast the forum live.
The Salisbury City Council candidates are Charles Black, Maggie Blackwell, Carl Dangerfield, Blake Jarman, Benjamin Johnson, Pete Kennedy, Susan Kluttz, Mark Lewis, Brian Miller, William Peoples, Jr., Paul Woodson Jr. and Michael Young.
Salisbury candidates have also been invited to speak next week at a forum sponsored by the Historic Neighborhood Alliance to focus on issues which impact historic neighborhoods. The HNA Candidates Forum will be held Tuesday October 13, from 6:30 to 8p.m. at the Salisbury Station, 215 Depot St.
