Piedmont Players has announced that the groundbreaking ceremony to be held Wednesday afternoon for the new children’s theater on East Fisher Street has been postponed to 2:15 p.m. Thursday instead.
The decision to wait a day was made out of respect for the memory of Lou Murphy, whose funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She was actively involved with Salisbury’s theatre community for decades.
