All-day fun at the 35th Lexington Barbecue Festival

LEXINGTON — Celebrating and serving up one style of BBQ at the festival…Lexington style.
Pig out at this festival held in the town famous for its pit-cooked pork. After you sample the barbecue you can enjoy live music, craft vendors, a car show and the annual sand sculpture.
5th Annual Pre-Pig Shindig: 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 with live music, food, beverages and fun.
20th Annual Pig Sand Sculpture: The 50-ton sculpture began taking shape the week prior to the festival and will be completed on festival day.
4th annual Que Up! Brew Up! with live music, food trucks, and your favorite beverages. Free admission.
Hawg Run 5K and Fun Run/Walk: Held on the morning of the Barbecue Festival, hosted by J. Smith Young YMCA.
Hogway Speedway: Races held throughout the day. Specially bred and trained, these fleet footed racing pigs bolt from the starting gate at the sound of the bell.
Car Show Extravaganza: Antique cars presented by Furnitureland Antique Automobile Club, members of AACA. Also: vintage Corvettes on W. 1st Ave.
Purina Incredible Dog Team Shows: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Frisbee, Agility, Tricks and crowd participation. Family friendly, and high energy.
BMX Stunt Shows: Keith King Bike Stunt Shows perform at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. After each show the riders will be available for autographs.
Chop Shop Lumberjack Sports Show: Six different events. Contestants are divided into heats and then finals as these athletes chop and saw their way through the timber at noon and 2 p.m. Finals are at 4 p.m.
Wine Garden: East 3rd Avenue adjacent to Stage 4, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m
Blood Drive: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the YMCA, 119 W 3rd. Avenue.
Festival Finale Concert and Fireworks: Saturday • 6-9 pm: Music by YARN and On The Border-The Ultimate Eagles Tribute, plus fireworks. Free admission.
