OctoberTour-Tips for enjoying the OctoberTour
Published 12:00 am Tuesday, December 1, 2009
Children: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. When touring homes, strollers must be left outside and small children should be carried.
Dress: OctoberTour is held rain or shine, so dress appropriately. Though early in October, it is a good idea to bring a light jacket and an umbrella.
Photography: Photographs are not permitted inside private homes. However, remember your camera to take outside photos. Feel free to bring a notebook to write down ideas for your own home.
Shoes: OctoberTour is a walking tour. Low-heeled, soft-soled shoes or sneakers are recommended. Soft soles help protect the floors in the display homes.
Tickets: A ticket allows one visit to each tour site and can be used on Saturday or Sunday. Tickets are non-refundable. Please do not touch homeowner’s treasures and respect any doors that may be closed.
