Man charged with assault on officer

A Salisbury man has been charged with assaulting a state ALE (Alcoholic Law Enforcement) officer.
Tony Negal Williams, 28, of 122 E. Horah St., was arrested Sept. 21 for the assault on a law enforcement officer inflicting serious injury.
Incidents or charges on September 22:
– City of Salisbury Parks and Recreation reported graffiti on several items in a park.
– Jason Everette Groce reported the theft of $1,844 worth of items from his car which was parked at Catawba College, 2300 W. Innes St.
– Lance Edward Spivey reported his vehicle was broken into at 2300 W. Innes St. Catawba College.
– Michael William Fox reported his vehicle was broken into at 2300 W. Innes St. Catawba College.
– Verlin H. Stanley, 60, of 256 Link Ave. was charged with destruction of property, for tearing up a toilet seat at Sonic Drive In at 935 W. Innes St.
– Juanita Jean Head, Streets of Salisbury, was charged for embezzlement from her employer, Escape the Daily Grind on 118 N. Main St.
In other incidents or charges on Sept. 21:
– Claudia Aguirre Rivas reported her green 2-door Honda stolen from 110 Chesapeake Drive.
– The Pop Shop at 1831 W. Innes St. and Pizza Hut at 117 W. 11th St. reported receiving counterfeit $20 bills.
In other incidents or arrests on Sept. 20:
– Timothy Wayne Harris of 1429 Filbert St., reported being stabbed with a knife at Grady and Bost Streets. Harris was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center for medical attention.
– Jerome Speigner reported being robbed in the 1700 block of N. Long Street last Friday night.
– Walmart at S. Arlington St. reported a shoplifter who placed four bottles of Tylenol in his pants and left the store without paying for them. He assaulted two Walmart employees after they caught him shoplifting.
– Donna Vandergrif, of 1035 Greentree Circle, reported a breaking and entering of her residence where medicine and jewelry were stolen.
In other incidents or charges on Sept. 19:
– ABC Store employee at 1401 S. Jake Alexander Blvd. reported a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka valued at $35 was stolen as well as a bottle of Patron Tequila valued at $26.95.
– William Thomas Vick reported he was robbed at gunpoint at 904 S. Jackson St.
