The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Cold Springs Road (State Road 2630) in Concord Monday, Sept. 28, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists traveling north on Cold Springs Road should use the following signed detour:
– Cold Springs Road to U.S. 601 to N.C. 49 to Heglar Road (State Road 2633) to Cold Springs Road.
Motorists traveling south on Cold Springs Road should use the following signed detour:
– Cold Springs Road to Heglar Road to N.C. 49 to U.S. 601 to Cold Springs Road.
The closure is necessary for pipe replacement, and is expected to end Monday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m.

I-77 closing
The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the ramp from I-77 North to Clanton Road (Exit 7) Friday at 8 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists traveling north on I-77 should take Remount Road (Exit 8) to I-77 South to access Clanton Road.
The closure is necessary for guardrail removal, slope repair, gutter replacement, and work on the curb and shoulder areas. The ramp is expected to reopen on Saturday, Oct. 10.
