Are you ready to party? Oak Park Retirement, a new Salisbury retirement community, is hosting a tailgate party next week.
Oak Park, located at 2250 Enon Church Road, is having the party and inviting staff from Livingstone and Catawba colleges. The event is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Sept. 29.
“They are local people and we want to do something for them,” said Diane Nye, with pre-rental/marketing.
Oak Park has extended an invitation to 100 Catawba staff and 100 Livingstone staff. All told, they hope for 300 people to attend. There is no cost to attend, it is complimentary, she said.
Mayor Susan Kluttz is slated to attend as well. There will also be a DJ.
“We will have a big party,” Nye said.
