The Swing Buggy will be one of 30 rides and attractions at the Rowan County Fair, which runs from Sept. 21-26.
An Italian ride manufactured by Bertazzon, the Swing Buggy has 16 tubs themed as classic 50s-styled cars.
The cars swing side to side as the ride carries them on an undulating track.
The motion is similar to a traditional bobsled or Himalaya-type ride but with a new look, provided by Powers Great American Midways.
The Swing Buggy is decorated with LED lighting on the exterior, ceiling and rotating parts.
The Rowan County Fairgrounds are located on Julian Road.
All-day ride wristbands, regularly priced at $20, can be purchased in advance for $15 through the fair’s Web site at www.rowancountyfair.net.
