‘Marking the Trail’ event is Tuesday
KANNAPOLIS ó City officials will participate in the Carolina Thread Trail’s “Marking the Trail” event on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The event will be held at the trail head to Baker’s Creek Greenway, located on Goldston Street. During the celebration, new trail markers will be installed signifying the connection of the Baker’s Creek Greenway to the Carolina Thread Trail system.
The Carolina Thread Trail is a 15-county network of greenways and other trails. In Kannapolis, the Thread Trail will include the new Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway that will connect Kannapolis’ greenways with those in Concord. It also includes the 8th Creek Greenway and the Baker’s Creek Greenway.
